Jihad means effort/struggle. Could also be religious, but this word exist before their religion.
Israel is making his effort/struggle, so they also have their jihad.
It's incredible how much intentional and unintentional confusion can be created by the use of foreign, Arabic words.
I would suggest that Arabs communicate in the west using always local language, like God instead of Allah, effort/struggle/resistance instead of jihad.
Using foreign Arabic words just makes it immensely more difficult to understand their point of view
