"content": "nostr:nprofile1qy2hwumn8ghj7un9d3shjtnddaehgu3wwp6kyqpqg0tuf634rz4suczwj7kgnecr6cyt0eu9xmp3sp0fku68mqehq4msas60lz I've been a long-term (20+ years) critic of 'affordable' housing, where prices are pegged to, typically, 75% of open market prices. \n\nTrying to point out to local authorities that, no, 75% of £260k is nowhere near affordable and that this level of house price is anyway undesirable, simply draws angry faces that won't listen.\n\nNot surprising; their mates are 'social housing' developers, privately owned by ex-council staff, providing rental housing to poorer people. It stinks.",
