and like, most nursing homes around here are for the people are are genuinely hard to take care for, heavy dementia and such
most normal old folks have family to care for them
i might volunteer on the church, there's a group of old ladies there that do embroidery to sell and raise money for stuff
i helped there as a kid with my grandma, that's how i learned embroidery
