For me I prefer LCD vs LED purely for avoiding the longterm negative side effects on your eyes. Sometimes you have to sacrifice sharpnest and image quality if you want to prolong your eyesight for the long term.
Also can't stand anything above 1080p either, because the sharper the image quality the more I can feel like I am getting motion sickness. There is just something about it that my mind finds repulsive. Even though I know it is technically supposed to be better. Only own dumb TVs too.
Different strokes for different folks though. I totally get what you are saying. I am just an opinionated fuckwhit on this matter lol.
