Reason 24601 why we need to be able to limit replies on Mastodon: recommendation requests.
I can't make recommendations without incurring reply after reply with lots of opinions, which can be noisy. And making the recommendation private prevents others from learning from our conversation.
(I am not seeking technical advice or feasibility studies regarding this toot)
