the leftist idea of fascism is so weird and i don't think it's umberto eco's fault but his little ur-fascism essay definitely didn't help. the past actually isn't something to be feared or rejected, same with tradition. neither is the beautiful. in some ways, leftism rejects tradition, the past, and the beautiful out of fear of becoming fascist, shuns gods for fear of their authority. idk it seems like a mistake to me. i'm all out of nicotine gum, someone please help
