Don't forget of course there's `Feature::Compat::Class`, which uses the latest core feature on latest perl, or uses Object::Pad to polyfill it in on earlier perls. It is restricted to only permitting the same things that core would support, so you know you're writing code that'll work there even on earlier perls - right back to 5.18 if necessary.
