Holy shit, the UK Supreme Court's ruled that trans women aren't really women under the law, and it did so in a manner that enshrines the idea that discrimination against women is rooted in the capacity to become pregnant. This is the insane consequence of transphobia, this ruling is an attack on every feminist victory in the UK throughout history, attempting to erase the truth that gender discrimination is founded in social hierarchies that go beyond biological capacity. This necessarily raises questions about whether women who can't become pregnant for other reasons are full women in the eyes of the law in the UK. This reinforces rhe most insane retrograde theocratic beliefs about women.
