This 1973 paper is an overview of LUNAR, an experimental natural language interface to a database of Apollo lunar rock sample data. It was written in BBN Lisp, which later became Interlisp, and supported advanced queries such as (over half a century ago!):

The developer of LUNAR's grammar, Ron Kaplan, worked at PARC and cofounded the Medley Interlisp Project.
