I don't have a bigger screen, but I think I wouldn't mind so long as the AC can be controlled through knobs and buttons.
I would simply set whatever I need to set and just drive. Unless there is a good reason, I don't mess with anything during driving. I also prefer using my phone rather than the car for GPS.
