Yeah, even the hybrid drives still are slower than I would like, but the idea is that you can either do one storage drive and have a PC dedicated to storing onto it for several days, or do a NAS box and have them ribbon, so long as you have the right setup. A lot faster, but it's an expense that is between home use, and small business, so a lot of people don't go for them. I almost did when I thought I was going to have to work from home during 2021. You also will have to get a server specific drive for nas Incase one of them fails or starts to.
I just wanted something to store my comics, roms, and movies.
