For "normal” (non-influencer / celebrity types), I think getting/amassing followers is just something that takes a lot of time. For me it's always been a trickle of people here and there week after week. In the very few occasions I've gotten more than that it's been either because I was on some "list of infosec people” which happened back in 2022 when everyone was coming over or when a big account boosts me 🤷♂️.
