Exception yes, but it is a growing minority, being scammed is almost a right of passage with the internet. I do think that because money and finance is taboo people are left to their own devices and the longer you go without being rugged, the bigger the payout when they do rug you

I trust the banks with my salary because no one will pay me in cash or Bitcoin, but that's temporary, I don't expose myself to more than I could lose. I don't trust financial institutions I invested with before I knew anything and have already zero'd those contributions to pensions in my mind
