UK tax cuts for corporations in 2023 resulted in a loss of 30 billion UKP in tax revenue but will *spur only up to £10.5bn investment.* The rich will generally invest their money in the way they expect will be most profitable. When governments want to influence what ways they choose, instead of taxing certain ways less, how about taxing the other ways more?
