If you're new(ish) to Mastodon, one of the best ways to connect with people, especially during an event like the Euros, is to "follow" the hashtag. Then anyone who uses #Euro24 or #Euro2024 or any other hashtag you like will appear in your timeline. You can unfollow it at any time.
