"content": "If the network is big enough and changes often enough, then yes. \n\nMight also include security things, like selecting installing and maintaining VON, preventing, defining gear update procedures (you probably don't want to update all your routers at once if the vendor was again sloppy and introduced bugs).\n\nThe bureaucracy of keeping an inventory of all your gear (and links) isn't easy. Even if you use things like Nagios etc.\n\nHey, and even the CLI of a typical Cisco gear is so overcomplicated that you need to study weeks to get it. \n\nSo yes, every day.\n\nThat's why I never aimed to be one. Especially as they either work shifts or are on standby. I value my regular sleep.",
