I endorse these efforts to make the language more accessible by lowering the entry barrier for newcomers to facilitate the rush of so-called 'fresh blood'. Sure, it could have taken fewer than 20 years to recognize this as one of the root issues hindering enterprise adoption, but still! One thing that I can't accept, and frankly, that infuriates me, is why some folks have decided to cancel the almost twenty years of experience accumulated by functional communities in Scala.
