In order for my son, Robotechy (npub17df…y09f), to attend thenostrworld (npub1nst…rg5l) , in the UK we have to submit an “absence request” form in order to miss school (despite being legally responsible for his education).
In the request (which I have a gripe with having to write in the first place) I outlined how he would get to attend seminars and workshops in technologies related to his business (www.robotechy.com), practice his spanish, attend the Jungle Academy BitcoinJungle (npub14f2…v7lu), and visit one of the most bio-diverse regions on the planet.
Not only did they not approve the request (other than 4-days which they expect us to go to Costa Rica and back within), for which they fine £120 per parent, but the school teachers are on strike on the very day we leave!
