Question for the social media savvy:
I've avoided most social media for years (til Mastodon & Friendica, that is) because of a lot of reasons. I have to get on WhatsApp for my job because I guess the group chat is where our schedules are posted and whatnot, and that comes out Sunday.
I don't want to use it for anything else, but I'm supposed to get some sort of invite link from the boss to join the group. I think he tried to send it a while back, but I guess I need to set things up first.
And because I just wanna use it for work (and have a crazy unique name that's easy to find if you spell it right), I'm wary about how to set up privacy or whatever I need. It doesn't look very helpful and all I did was sign up for it and my name already popped up where my neighbor could see it.
Do you guys recommend any good resources online to help me keep my privacy and do WhatsApp just for work? Any help would be appreciated. I think I'm off today & want to use the time to get it right.
