You can use any client on your device (including Damus) and your client will send your notes to as many relays as you like (including your own if you like).
If you use 10 relays then all 10 have to collaborate in order to censor you. But there are already 240 or so relays and you can change and add more at any time or just create your own.
You cannot create your own Twitter server and continue to Tweet in public when Twitter Inc decides to kick you.
In nostr you can’t be cancelled. Also your notes that you send are visible in every other client.
You cannot Tweet on Twitter and have your followers on TikTok automatically see your Tweet. On nostr there is a global feed that feeds all clients/apps.
