I live adjacent to Mohave County, AZ. For those unfamiliar, it's literally the worst part of rural AZ by far. These are the same people who voted 72% AGAINST having an MLK Jr State holiday in 1990. These are the people who voted 70% for Trump in 2016--then 74% for him in 2020. Four years ago Trump crap was ABSOLUTELY EVERYWHERE. Now? A bumper sticker here and there. To your point, these bastards haven't changed their beliefs, they're just less willing to publicly admit them.
