We had a lovely male orange cat, Horus, who had high blood pressure which we did not realize until it caused him to suddenly go blind. He lost the ability to jump to his beloved counter and then lost the ability to see. We put him on blood pressure meds right away. Alas, he obviously felt very confused and miserable. It was heartbreaking, the decision to let him go. He was the most intelligent, cuddly, and best human communicator cat I'll probably ever know.
