it's funny, when i was first shown my new little cottage on the edge of nowhere in sao christoval, the agent gave the impression that "he preferred it if the place was rented for short periods so more people could see it" and then more recently when i asked him about maybe extending, it was like "no problem, however long you like"
probably because there is no garage or carpark here, and this place is so small and out of the way, pretty much no islander wants to live in a place like this, and the tourists want their carparks and their convenient supermarket and stuff
i can see myself staying on here a few years, to be honest, and i'm so glad i found this place, it's so peaceful, i've found healing here and i'm not done yet
