Yesterday, I asked a question on the #Ubuntu forums and so far, there's no reply. I thought some people here might know the answer.
- Clean Ubuntu install reports enable-animations as false (through one of the methods) when they're actually enabled

This screws with the #Linux version of my game because the game thinks that it should skip animations when it shouldn't.
