Considerations using #ttrpg for language learning?
Content- lets players to interact & communicate meaningfully in game with information that they could learn.
Setting- lowers players' Affective Filter, allowing them engagement with the world to train language skills.
System- balance of granularity & simplicity, lets players declare actions with minimal rules discussion. Too simple, no bonuses & penalties, not enough rule diversity in-game situations. Too complex, they argue about rules!
