Basically I don't think being polyam is or should be considered an identity. Unlike sexual orientation.
When I'm in a relationship with a guy of course I'm still pansexual, I'm still attracted to other genders.
But I'm not actively dating other people or consider myself free to do so if I'm in a monogamous relationship.
I don't say "I'm poly". I say I'm in a polyam situation if I am. But being in a committed triad makes it a bit harder to explain to others
