Two things. Firstly, the joke OP is making is not that HE is a pedophile Rather, the joke is that the two main girls of evangelion, Asuka and Rei (who are 13/14 during the story) are heavily sexualized. The story obviously throws this back in your face at the end, in episodes 22 (When asuka is mindraped by the sky angel) and episodes 25/26 when we get yet another look at Asuka physce as well as during the End of Evangelion.
My two cents is that this is a cope, as the first half of the show is just a cool mecha anime and doesn't delve that much into psychoanalysis like the second half does. (With the exception of the hedgehogs dilemma episode.) So for all intents and purposes this is just gratuitous fan service for the likely young male audience.
Of course it's not all pedophillic in nature, given Ritsuko is heavily sexualized (See episode one where the first thing we see of her is her rather seductively taking off a swimsuit.) And of course Misato, who probably has more fan service than all 3 of the other female leads combined.
But there is an obvious theme of the teenagers being sexualized. Which means the joke OP was making was actually that whilst the rest of the fan art heavily shows Rei and Asuka in sexually provocative positions, this one shows Misato, which means rather than the rest of Gainax being normal (Pedophiles in this joke) someone at Gainax had an adult woman fetish (The weird ones in this joke).
The joke appears to not only flown over your head, but of all the respondents in the thread. But there it is. Perhaps you just need a higher IQ to understand it.
