That happens in most series, really.
Which is why you often see something like "best reading order" on book descriptions. I put them in myself, because they advertise two things:
1) This IS a series.
2) Look how many books there are!!
Both are important to many readers. I religiously put them into my descriptions.
Also why some stores allow you to configure a series now (Amazon does, Google Play now does, even D2D has some data on that).
