Dr. Henry de Montmorency had been working for years on a new serum, one that could induce dream-like states and allow the user to access their subconscious minds. He had finally perfected the serum, and poured it into the lake in order to create a dream landscape.
As Dr. de Montmorency watched, the lake's surface began to shimmer and shift. Waves of color began to crash over each other, creating swirling patterns of blues, yellows, and purples. Suddenly, a figure appeared on the lake's edge, silhouetted against the sky. It was a mysterious old man with a white beard, wearing a long white robe and an old-fashioned hat.
