~vala :verifiedsabakan: (npub1qdk…t367) i have maintained packages for both deb and rpm-based distros and i absolutely hated it. Both package managers are fucking atrocious. Building software for them is a nightmare, because both involve running ancient scripts from the 90s that are full of hacks and rather cryptic behaviour. I mostly use Nix these days and surprisingly even the obscure language that Nix provides is much easier than what Debian calls packaging.
