I get a little baffled - and sad - when I read negative comments from people about immediately blocking any ActivityPub experiments from Meta… before they even connect!
Yes, Meta has horrible privacy practices. Yes, they are all about selling you and your data. Agreed.
BUT.. in my mind THE END GOAL is GETTING MORE PEOPLE USING OPEN PROTOCOLS.
We should be inclusive and welcome them (as npub1psyu32rex4g3h8zvnqsf5jculys07nq7gsuuvv6wme4j0r7qd9lsh3pasy (npub1psy…pasy) is)
We can always block LATER.
