My CMS has a pseudo tag for adding social media icons to a page. The default icons included Twitter, which I've now finally swapped out. Not for X though... Defaults are now LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, and Mastodon!
I stopped advising clients to get a Twitter profile back when they turned their free APIs off and disabled logged-out access to public posts. Website integration became pointless after that.
It's about time I started advocating #Mastodon properly really. 😊
