I guess I live a pretty boring life, and the cost of car share appears markedly cheaper here ($50/day). I was under the impression many folks in Vancouver biked a lot? Totally understand that transit absolutely sucks in Vancouver, but again, it just doesn't make sense to me. Gas, insurance, car payments, PARKING... much of the time just so the car can sit idle waiting for you to need it.
Regardless, I believe you've done the math and it works out better for your unique situation, but I'm not sure that math would work out for most people.
