Privilege and #COVID19: A study of NYC zip codes, reveals that:
Transmission rates among high-income populations during off-peak waves were higher than among low-income populations.
But, hospitalization and death rates among low-income populations were higher during off-peak waves despite a lower transmission rate.
This could be due to worse healthcare, jobs that result in higher-dose infections, or other causes.
