I'm afraid 91.667% of you are wrong. Taliesin does foresee victory for the Welsh, but who said anything about a happy victory?
Taliesin wouldn't go to war with his father's sword because a) He doesn't know his actual father and b) bards do not fight in battle. The Irish honor that and mostly leave Tali alone.
