I think single outlier data prints should be minimized a bit, but nonetheless this sort of thing represents major headline risk that is now present.
The country does trillions of dollars of imports and exports in a given year, and the potential tariff tax on those now fluctuates massively within any given week. So if you're a business with 12-month planning goals and any sort of international exposure (which is most large ones), you'll likely hold back a bit until you get more clarity on what's going to happen.
