Tile has a tool that allows law enforcement to request the location for any Tile. It got pwned, and they tried to cover it up until presented with proof that the leaked data was real.
The only time you should ever trust a tech company not to leak your data is when they don't have it. The consequences to the decisionmakers of a leak will never be large enough to convince them to protect your data sufficiently.
