I watched the 2014 film Son of God. It's about this guy named Jesus who has magic powers and wants a fisherman named Peter to help him spread some word.
The story takes place in a mythical Roman province called Jewland. Romans are depicted as disrespectful towards jews, which is based and redpilled.
Meanwhile, Jesus saves a prostitute from being stoned to death, and jews agree to spare her. That was a tad unbelievable, painting jews as capable of empathy, and Jesus comes across as a bit of a simp for this ancient OF girl.
So, Jesus is a crazy man with many followers, but here enters the hero of the story: Caiaphas. A practical figure, he wants Jewland to remain as free as possible, but knows Jesus' followers will start a George Floyd riot and make the Romans go Chauvin on their arses. He also says Jesus' magic comes from dæmons, so he has him arrested for heresy.
Jesus is like the Jigsaw Killer from Saw, always one step ahead, and lets Romans crucify him.
However, Jigsus pulls one last trick, and does a magic kamikaze attack on Caiaphas' temple, causing it to explode.
And at the end, Jesus revives and is beamed up in front of his followers. I got a little confused 'cause the movie has three characters with the same name and you don't always see them. There was a John the baptist, who dies off camera; a John of Arimathea, who buys a tomb for Jesus; and simply John, who is one of the gang.
In the end, this magic man arrives, shits all over Jewland's traditions and beliefs, and kind of gets away with it. Solid 6/10 film. #Justice4Caiaphas
