I am in MT for my grandson's 1st birthday.I still feel an undercurrent of hurt/anger b/c I didn't get the booster she insisted we get before visiting her during delivery. A delivery that was 6 weeks too early.
Ya know how when you hug someone, you expect to get back a hug in equal measure to the one you're giving? Hugging my daughter has been like shaking hands with a limp wrist. It hurts.
My grandson, otoh, is precious.
