I think the Amish are essentially the first so called "luddite" societies. I think the fact the local church basically determines what tools can be used based on whatever they feel is really dumb.
But i think some humans will have be more critical in how they use technology in the future, or their going to end up slowly replacing themselves with the "metaverse" and "AR".
