My name is Benjamin. I’m 30 years of age and I live in Belgium. I’m a web developer. I wasn’t able to function in the 9-to-5 day-after-day structured way of living. I had a burnout. I had a depression. And now I’m working hard to start my very own software studio and web agency focussed around decentralised social media. Anyway, this is the short version of the story. 😉 I have creative ideas for social websites which I want to make and I want to help people and businesses alike, content creators and entrepreneurs, to connect their personal websites to the decentralised social network and use their personal websites as their digital social identities instead of some profile page on some platform.
Some interests of mine are web development, decentralised social media and crypto currency (ofc), but also holistic health, permaculture, sustainable living in general and spirituality, which is the ground underneath my feet.
I love seeing people express what lives in their hearts.
I love nature and like to spend time outside, going for a walk or for a bike ride. I love having meaningful conversations with people (but at the same time I’m very much an introvert and often too scared to reach out). I love traveling and discovering the world. I have lived in India for 9 months. ☺️
My hobbies are inline skating, writing, drawing and also a bit of photography. I’m also learning (following a course on) how to give massages! 🤗
Soon you might see me pop up in the nips and go-nostr repositories as I prepare myself to come out of my cave and start talking about what I’m doing. I’m not a very experienced programmer. I finished my studies in 2016, but only have a little less than 3 years of working experience as a Vue.js developer. Other than that I was just working on my own creative projects here and there without guidance or feedback, and only 1 of them ever made it to the production phase for a brief period of time. But now that’s about to change so these are exciting times for me!
