If you walk into a trusted friends house holding a bare knife covered in blood, you need to explain why. In this way I think we should be aware and actively use social media to enhance real human social things and not at the expense of them... Sorry I'm sure this could be put more concisely...
As a tool or invention more directly, social media, especialy in its old black box corporate form, could be "a sligh roundabout marketing device that drains energy from most people".
I think we know that festivals in the streets don't do that.
Nostr has a chance to make more festivals and allow for great remote colaborative conversations. I think we should still be careful not to replace one with the other.
