I can say a couple of things about it.

First, all top five are bought management coroporate wide, and either mandated, or network effects make them non-interchangeable.

Second, video conferencing needs massive amount of bandwidth and computing at server level. If you can't access to proprietary compression tech these companies have, and the servers/bandwidth to back this traffic, it's a very bad experience.

So, people flock to closed source software and offload the burden with money.
