Wife went to a friend's daughter's HS graduation party and got chatting with an old acquaintance. Her husband "has always been pretty techy" and she mentioned they mined 50 bitcoin years ago. They sold it all because it "was too volatile".

Now they have a small fraction of a coin and that "volatility" she remembers back then was nothing.
