The closest anyone has gotten is "Social Web", which is somehow less bad than all the others.
I kind of like thinking of this whole thing as a constellation, or an ecosystem. "Fediverse" will always be personal for me, as it's part of my own journey with technology, but I'll admit that I am always fond of it.
