Clearly the Mac’s fate has changed, as evidenced by its Apple Silicon renaissance. And this is fine. Plans change. But many people still operate as if we’re in the “What’s a computer?” timeline, where iPad is the lifeboat they have to scramble to as the Mac sinks.
