My personal beef with these models is the labelling/marketing of them as "AI".
They are clearly not "artificial intelligence" in any meaningful sense of the phrase. Indeed, we don't even have an accepted definition of what intelligence actually means. Is a corvid more intelligent than a bonobo?
If we thought of them as machine learning models which can be useful, but must always be treated with caution, that would be more helpful.
