It's a little interesting to see how much confusion there is over exactly what the International Chess Federation's regulations on transgender players mean.
The thing that's causing the confusion, I think, is that there's no men's only chess. There are open tournaments (which is most of them) and some women-only tournaments.
All trans people can play in open tournaments. The regulations seems like it may make it more difficult to get a gender change officially recognized.
