My 4th of July message is that I have tried and often failed to become independent from Chrome. I really have.
I have tried to stay with Safari. But, in the SaaS world if you use a service long enough you find edge case show stoppers.
Support forums are littered with these kinds of messages:
"I was using Safari and getting this error message [...] with each attempt to access [... some functionality ...] but when I tried again in Chrome it worked on the first attempt."
Safari = Firefox too.
