Yeah, there are a huge number of people in the broader discussion who will tell you that the Palestinians are subhuman and killing them is a universal good, and it's definitely eye-opening whenever you talk to one in person and realize that yes, this is a relatively mainstream opinion...
...but I'm not sure how represented it is on mainstream Fedi itself? Like, "oh good the Jews and Muslims are killing each other I hope they all die" is a constant mantra over on Nazi Fedi, but directly advocating for genocide against any group would obviously be grounds for an immediate ban over here...
...I dunno, I'm just rethinking whether or not there's even a real discussion going on, or whether or not one is possible with the current ground rules we have... Currently it's basically "don't be racist or advocate for violence against civilians", but perhaps there need to be more.
